SENSORY ART
Belén Senra | Textile Artist
I create sensory textile sculptures that transform the way a space is experienced.
Working with hand-tufted wool, relief and architectural compositions, I explore texture as an emotional language—one that is felt before it is understood.
After years of living between cultures and constantly changing places, I became fascinated by how materials shape the atmosphere of a room. My practice grew from a simple question: Can an artwork change not only what we see, but how we feel inside a space?
Each piece is designed to slow perception. Rather than representing something, the work invites presence, curiosity and touch. The textile surface becomes an experience—absorbing light, creating depth and encouraging a more physical relationship with architecture.
I call this Sensory Art.
Not because the work asks to be looked at.
Because it asks to be felt.
